Mission

Our Mission: To glorify God through the ministry of his word.

  • By respectful and thoughtful God-centered worship
  • By the clear and accurate preaching of the scriptures
  • By careful teaching and explanation of the great doctrines of the Christian faith
  • By lovingly serving one another in a caring community of faith
  • By personally endeavoring to share the good news of the gospel to our families, friends, and neighbors, and forging partnerships for the sake of the gospel throughout the world.

The Gospel

The Bible tells us that God, the almighty Creator and Sustainer of the entire universe, is also completely
holy and as such, he cannot be in the presence of since. As sinners (because we all lie, have bad
thoughts, get angry…), we have offended God.
The debt of our sin must be paid before we can enjoy a life eternally with God. But because we are
sinners there is nothing we can do that would pay that price. Just trying to be good won’t cut it. Going
to church isn’t enough. Being better than next guy isn’t the recipe. God requires sinless perfection. We
have a problem!
“But God so loved the world…” that Jesus Christ, God himself, came to earth, lived a perfect life and
voluntarily gave up that life on the cross as the perfect, unblemished sacrifice that paid for your sins and
mine, for the sins of the entire world. He then demonstrated victory over sin by rising back to life on
that first Easter Sunday!
What must we do to receive enteral life with God? The Bible says that is we believe who Jesus is (God
himself) and what he did (lived a perfect life and then willfully and lovingly died and paid the price of our
sinfulness) and we repent of our sinful ways (turn from living our old way and instead live God’s way)
then we will be saved.
